We have school horses suitable for beginners through competitive riders in multiple disciplines.

Christy Zweig Niehues
Christy Zweig Niehues offers dressage and jumping lessons for all levels.  She coaches regularly at local hunter/jumper shows, unrated events, and rated events across the U.S.

Christy has been eventing and competing in the jumpers for over two decades. She has competed through the USEA Preliminary Level (3'7") and has her Eventing Bronze Medal at the Training Level.   She is currently in the process of obtaining her ICP - Novice level certification and recently was awarded the Cindy Burge grant by Area V.

Growing up in Massachusetts, Christy had the opportunity to train with Carol Mayo (former Area I Young Riders Chief d’equipe), Ron Zohar, and Douglas Grindle.  In 2009, she was the horseback riding director for the Girl Scouts of the Minnesota and Wisconsin River Valleys and was responsible for the care and feed of 23 camp horses and overall management of a lesson and trail riding program.

Christy has worked with many off-the-track thoroughbreds directly off the track and specializes in starting horses over fences.

Laura and Maggie McAlister
Laura and Maggie offer fun and confidence building, flat and jumping lessons on their horses.  They enjoy introducing young riders to jumping and regularly bring students to local hunter/jumper shows.

Both have been riding and competing for over 20 years, with experience in the Arabian Association and on the open show circuit.  In 2006, they begin traveling to California to train with Kristin Hardin and spent close to a decade traveling across the US to rated horse shows. Between them, they have many top placings in regional and national Arabian horse shows in Working Hunter, Hunter Hack, and Equitation classes. Laura McAlister was Regional Reserve Champion of Equitation in her age group at the Santa Barbara Classic Horse Show in 2009. Maggie has further show experience in the .85m jumper divisions.

Laura and Maggie have a wealth of experience working with horses and kids, and enjoy helping people move up to a more difficult discipline or begin a show career.
